Today is the first day that I Downloaded Magic Lantern for the first time. I haven't really learned all of the features yet but from what I have learned it is amazing. The camera I'm using for magic lantern is a Canon 600D thats a t3i for the USofA.
One out of so many features that I truly love is the intervalometer I normally have my meter taped to my tripod and that is where it normally stays but with this feature I do not have to mess with a remote or cables.
I really like how HDR photos look. There DoF and Color (color) is truly amazing. Now most cameras have HDR and they work but not as well as with Magic Lantern. Cameras that HDR Normaly take 3 Photos. (under exposed, normal exposed, and over exposed) but with just 3 photos there is not a lot of room for that HDR feel. Thats not the case with this software you have (Advanced Bracket) with gives you the power to take all the photos you need for a true HDR image the people at Magic Lantern are smart! They work with photographers and developers and get the most out of your camera. They deliver what a photographer needs the most.
Magic Lantern can do so much more than just help on a photo shoot. With Magic Lantern making movies just got a whole lot cooler. On-Screens overlays is where it is happening. you can view you audio with an audio bracket, it has an amazing RGB Histogram so you can make sure your video has the right exposer and color right. Gives you Crop Marks for your video, Zebras, my favorite is the Magic Zoom to get the perfect focus, all right there on your cameras Live View.
So go check it out at http://www.magiclantern.fm/
What you should do is go download it and if you like it then you should help them out by Donating.
This is a review of my own. I was not asked or paid by Magic Lantern.
