A day in Paris

Hey eveyone! I'm writing with my iphone because I didn't bring my computer. So things might seem different but I'll be able to get on a computer tonight.

I will be posting photos and videos that I take on my trip and I'll be writing what I'm doing. The photos that you see I'll be taking with my phone first and then upload the final ones later that I take with my camera.

I didn't bring my computer because I'll be getting off the train and going straight into shooting and the weight of a 15" MacBook Pro is crazy heavy to carry all day.

That being said I'll also be posting the times that I post so you can keep up with my day. Kind of a live post if you will.  So check back regulary. :)

Gear: Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 50mm 1.4, Canon 70-200 4.0, Manfrotto Tripod, iPhone 5, Nike Fuelband SE, military camalbak bag because it holds a lot and it holds 2L's of water for the day.

10:51am I am on the train right now on my way to paris for Day 1 of my 2 day adventure.

Peter Hurley inspired shoot and how I did it

I was inspired by photographer Peter Hurley and his Portrait shoots. I really love expression and the way he shoots faces, it is so moving! His work is something that really makes me what to strive and push forward in portrait photography. He really knows how to tell a story in his photos, he has love and passion in photography which you can see when you look at his work. He has a catch phrase "shabang". I don't know the story behind it but I think that I'm starting to understand.
